For evaluation firms, consultancies, institutions, and advisors

Outcome data is a lagging indicator. We measure the mechanism.

Completion rates, placement figures, salary gains, retention counts. Every one of them records what already happened. None of them explains why it happened, and none arrives while there is still time to change it.

Sims Praxis supplies the instrument layer inside your engagement. You keep the client, the qualitative work, the timeline, and the deliverable. We handle administration, scoring, and subscale analysis, then hand you a results memo written to drop straight into your report.

Who brings us in

Different engagements. One kind of question.

The instrument changes. The problem does not. In each case someone is asking something the existing data describes but cannot explain.

Evaluation
Program evaluation and research firms measuring workforce, education, reentry, or social services outcomes.
The question: why did some participants finish and others disappear? · PPRRS-WA
Higher education
Institutional research offices, student success divisions, and the consultancies that serve them.
The question: which learners are at risk right now, and on which dimension? · SBIIS, PPRRS-WA
Leadership
Executive coaching practices, leadership development consultancies, and organizational effectiveness firms.
The question: did the coaching actually change anything? · LCEP
Technology
Management consultancies and technology advisors guiding AI and data system adoption.
The question: is this organization actually ready, or just enthusiastic? · OAIRS
Transactions
M&A advisors, private equity operating partners, and nonprofit consolidation consultants.
The question: will these two organizations be able to work as one? · PACCI
Community and civic
Planning firms, community development intermediaries, and philanthropic advisors working with the institutions that serve a place.
The question: are the organizations here prepared for what is arriving? · OAIRS across multiple institutions

Where we fit

Two stages of your process. Nothing else.

Most firms hesitate here because they expect a subcontractor to drift toward the client. This is the full extent of our footprint.

What you receive

Four deliverables, every engagement

01

Instrument rationale memo

Which instrument fits the population and the evaluation question, why, and what it will and will not tell you. Written so you can put it in front of your client or the funder.

02

Administration protocol

Survey build, participant code scheme, coordinator instructions, and a response monitoring schedule with a midpoint alert if rates run low.

03

Scored data and profiles

Cleaned dataset, reverse-coded and scored, with subscale profiles, risk tier assignment, and demographic disaggregation where sample size supports it.

04

Results memo

Findings written in plain language with the statistical detail in an appendix, formatted to drop into your report as a section rather than an attachment.

Boundaries

What we will not do

These are contract terms, not assurances.

Before the award

Write us into the proposal

Naming a psychometric partner strengthens a bid, and the scope can sit in your budget from the start rather than becoming an unplanned cost later. The arithmetic below uses a grant-funded evaluation because that is where the percentages are published, but the logic holds for any engagement: the instrument component is a small fraction of a line you are already quoting.

Sample arithmeticAmount

Engagement shapes

Fixed fees, priced as deliverables

No hourly billing and no change orders for analysis. Each package covers one instrument for up to 300 respondents.

One time point

Snapshot

$6,500

A single administration producing a subscale profile of the population at one moment. Fits baseline assessment, organizational diagnosis, and needs analysis.

  • One administration
  • Subscale profiles and risk tiers
  • Demographic disaggregation
  • Results memo

Two time points

Pre and post

$11,500

Administration at entry and exit with change analysis. The standard shape for leadership development, training programs, and any intervention with a defined start and end.

  • Two administrations
  • Matched pre and post comparison
  • Change magnitude by subscale
  • Results memo with both waves

Three time points

Longitudinal

$16,500

Intake, midpoint, and exit. Produces risk trajectory rather than a static score, which is what makes early intervention possible while participants are still enrolled.

  • Three administrations
  • Trajectory analysis per participant
  • Midpoint risk alert to your team
  • Results memo with full arc

Additional instrument in the same engagement · $2,500    Respondents beyond 300 · $4 each, waived under early access    Debrief session with your team or client · $1,200    Custom subscale added to an instrument · quoted per scope

Instrument fit

Which one suits your engagement

PPRRS-WA
Retention risk for working adults in program settings, across nine subscales including belonging, situational barriers, and home-based family support.
Workforce development · Adult training and apprenticeship · Reentry and second-chance programs · Social services and community-based programs
OAIRS
Organizational readiness for AI and technology adoption across leadership vision, staff capability, data governance, and change capacity, with separate nonprofit and corporate modules.
Technology advisory · Capacity building · Agency and enterprise readiness · Multi-institution scans where infrastructure or policy change is arriving
SBIIS
Student belonging and institutional identity across eight subscales, built for adult and online learners rather than residential undergraduates.
Higher education evaluation · Persistence studies · Student success initiatives
LCEP
Identity-differentiated perspective-taking practice across seven dimensions, with embedded discriminant and social desirability items. A self-report measure of practice rather than verified accuracy. Built for development and coaching, not selection.
Executive coaching · Leadership development programs · Management training · Team effectiveness work
PACCI
Cultural compatibility between two organizations across seven dimensions. Both parties complete identical items and gap scores locate integration risk before it becomes attrition.
Mergers and acquisitions · Private equity operating diligence · Nonprofit consolidation · Post-close integration tracking · Partnership assessment

Where the instruments stand

OAIRS, PPRRS-WA, LCEP, and PACCI are covered by a validation protocol determined exempt by an accredited independent institutional review board in August 2026. Data collection is authorized and has not begun. SBIIS is under institutional review at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Nothing is described as validated before it is. Every engagement states the instrument’s development stage in writing, and that language appears in the results memo so your report carries the same disclosure your client would want.

Engagements before validation completes run under early access terms. Per-respondent licensing is waived, your client receives full subscale reporting, and de-identified responses contribute to the validation record. Post-validation licensing is offered at a reduced rate to early access partners.

Who you would be working with

Dr. Corey R. Sims, PhD

Social psychologist and psychometrician, and sole author of all five instruments. Engagements are handled directly rather than passed to junior staff, which is the practical advantage of subcontracting to a specialist instead of a firm.
